We are Better Together!  Sharing love, showing kindness, and meeting needs. Let's make a difference in our cities!

The “For Our City” effort in Frederick is bringing together local non-profit and church organizations, as well as coordinating with government agencies to provide the best possible responses to the issues in our community. We need to work together since we’re in this together.

Rather than organizations trying to do their own efforts, we are coordinating and combining efforts to meet the greatest number of needs and serve the most people through one united effort.

Come together for a combined Serve Day on October 28th where we will be For Frederick by going out and serving our community in practical ways.
Bring the kids, bring your friends, bring a smile and
a willing heart. There will be morning activities downtown on Patrick Street.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. There are also strong connections between human trafficking and pornography.

FOSTER CARE

Foster parents provide a stable and supportive home environment for children who are in need of a safe,
temporary place to live until permanency can be established.

POVERTY/HOMELESSNESS

The issue of modern homelessness is broad and complex, affecting many of our neighbors and communities.
Homeless are most often unable to acquire and maintain regular, safe, secure and adequate housing.
By working together and partnering with various programs, we can make an impact on this issue.

SHIP (Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership) provides critical resources and urgent services to the hundreds of
Frederick County youth experiencing homelessness each year.

ADOPT-A-SCHOOL

By partnering with local schools we have the opportunity to meet physical needs but furthermore encourage and invest into the next generation. Events at the school allow us build relationships with the kids as well as the families. You can get involved by helping serve at a large seasonal event or by serving on a more regular basis in the weekly after school program.

ADOPT-A-BLOCK

Envision an entire city transformed by the holy spirit, one block at a time! By performing acts of service and building long term relationships, we believe God is creating a lasting impact of each home and family. You can get involved by adopting the block where you live or by joining a current block and assisting in projects ranging from block parties to street cleanup.
